Amitabh Bachchan-starrer PINK paved the way for countless discussions and debates in India on violence towards women, the film has now grabbed the attention of the United Nations.

The Bollywood actor announced the news on Twitter, saying, "'PINK' invited for a special screening of the film at UN Headquarters, in New York... by Assistant Secretary General... honoured!"

The courtroom drama, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, reflects on the plight of women in today's world and the blatant discrimination they face.

PINK was reportedly to be shown to Rajasthan police personnel to better their conduct towards women and treat them with regard to their lawful rights.

Seriously, almost nobody in Pakistan is interested in Indian movies or their so-called actors. Waste of space.

How is this Amitabh Bachchan's film. If at all this is Shoojit Sircars film (producer, where Bachchan is just one of the character for whom dialogues were written, how to act was told, mannerisms enacted, makeup done. What is the role of an actor in a film? How can it be his film when there were so many other actors there. This idolatory worship of actors in film industry is exactly why names like "Bollywood" are used. Thereby this depiction is an insult to film making itself! Actors are two bits in a film and at least the well rounded journalists should understand it. Unless they too are in the dumbing category as the actors themselves, speaking always from Ivory towers!

Big B is respected everywhere, and his endeavors to promote women's right is highly commendable. Kashmiris have great expectations from BB and look forward to hear from him about women respect, ofcourse all mothers deserved respect, but in Kashmir something different is continuing. Plz devote some of your precious moments to think what better you can do for Kashmiris living under suppression for more than 4 months of curfew.Women need across the board attention, not for chosen places.UN covers the whole world.
