From ramp to red carpet: here's what fashionistas wore hot off the runway at FPW

Wait, is it Fashion Pakistan Week, Bridal Week or Sana Safinaz Week?
03 Dec, 2015

Every time you see an ensemble at a fashion show, you wonder what it would look like rooted in practical life, off the runway. And as Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) landed in town this year, we got to see just that.

While bridal fashion dominated the ramp, the luxe, formal prêt is what stood out and fashionably inclined attendees took note. A lot of faces from the entertainment industry were missing but there were bloggers and journos present ready to fill the void!

Sana Safinaz was a popular choice, as always.

Nikhar Riaz of Sunday Times chose these blue and gold statement pants, paired with a OTT jacket that works, initially modelled by Mehreen Syed on Day 1.

Anum Ayub opted for these jungle-inspired matching separates. We think she wore it way better off the ramp; by keeping her hair in a top knot and scaling back on gaudy accessories, she hits the nail on the head with this one.

We predict buns will be all the rage this winter; even Samina Khan, the publishing editor of Paperazzi wore this blue Sania Maskatiya ensemble and kept her hair in a no-nonsense bun, Special shoutout to her Sophia Webster heels!

Alizeh Pasha bagged this clutch to carry on the red carpet on day 2.

Shazay Salahuddin from Weekend wore our personal favourite outfit from the winter collection.

Zhalay Sarhadi decided to wear a Wardha Saleem skirt and styled it in a way that it was almost unrecognizable.

Natasia Khalid did the same with this Elan cape!

Samina Khan wore this wild silk ensemble, also from Elan. We only wish she'd put her hair up!

It's a shame we didn't get to see more of the designs on stars as they did their walk of fame. Here's three looks we definitely missed:

From L-R: These pieces from Ayesha Farook Hashwani, FnkAsia and Nilofer Shahid caught our eye on the runway

God has made the colors for women. Women and colors are made for each other. Men can look good only in B&W.
