Tamasha trailer: Ranbir and Deepika reunite onscreen, tug at heartstrings

The trailer intrigues, leaving us with more questions than answers. Here's 5 reasons it's got us excited!

Ranbir-Deepika fans have been anxiously waiting for the trailer of their upcoming flick, Tamasha to be unveiled. And their prayers were answered today.

The trailer, which is a little over two minutes, doesn't unveil much about the plot of the movie -- we're definitely still left guessing about a lot of things. Either way, there are some things we deduced from the teaser and so, here are five reasons why we're excited to watch Tamasha:

1. Ranbir and Deepika are an onscreen match made in Heaven

The duo charmed audiences when they appeared in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani post breaking up in real life. They're funny together and there's no denying that they still have chemistry onscreen. They're funny and relatable and we're getting the feeling this pairing is one for the books.

2. Our very own Javed Sheikh is in it

Veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh confirmed a few months ago that he will be playing the role of Ranbir's father in the movie. Sheikh flew to Shimla to shoot for his role in the movie and although we didn't spot him in the trailer, we're eager to see what kind of dad he'll be playing!

3. The cinematography looks gorgeous

Below are screengrabs from the trailer. Need we say more?

The movie has been partially shot on the French island of Corsica.

4. Deepika might be making her singing debut

Rumour has it that Deepika will be lending her voice to the soundtrack of the movie, which has been orchestrated by musical producerr A.R. Rahman.

Pictures of Deepika with the music maestro also popped up on the internet, hinting a collaboration and making fans more curious. Apparently, he has given his approval for her to enter the singing arena.

5. This might be the setting the stage for Ranbir's comeback

The talented Kapoor has had a bad streak the past couple of years -- with a non-substantial role in Roy and Bombay Velvet tanking at the box office, we're hoping he's going to get his groove back with Tamasha and make his fans proud!

Tamasha is slated for release on 27 November this year.

Shimla had no idea that Tamasha was being shot there. Otherwise it wud have been a great tamasha for the local residents. While deeika has chosen her work carefully Ranbir has taken some hasty jumps with Bombay Velvet & Roy. Roy was bad.... only a catchy song in it.
